The one time I went into the one in Newnan I saw a Taurus 1911 priced at $899 and a Kahr CM9 for $529, I just turned around and walked out. %Gander Mt.

While you were there did you happen to notice the used M&P9 priced $100+ more than the new one? Wow! I usually go in there and feel up all the guns, then go to Abraham's to buy..

It is true - they will price match on in stock items. Good to take the Academy sale ad there.... I overlook the high prices at Gander and wait for occasional deal / price match. My local store has mostly well -informed and experienced people in the gun dept, and the store is clean and not crowded. Just wait on a good sale ad somewhere and take it in to Gander if one is convenient to you.
