I will have about 6 to 10 hours to kill in Decatur tomorrow while my dad is having surgery at the VA. What is there to check out and kill time nearby? Fixing to walk out the door headed in that direction so if I do not respond to suggestions it is because I am driving, but any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks

Should be doing this regardless of where you are. But not all of decatur is bad, most of it is once you cross the railroad tracks.

Where the VA is isn't bad. Go to little 5 and have a burger at the Vortex. Or possibly Fox Bros bbq. Head over to Atlantic Station and grab a movie.
