Decided to paint black rifle

I've been pondering the idea of painting my AR-10 and did it today! It was a blast and now maybe I'll blend in more while hunting! As you follow along below, you'll see I started with a black rifle with stainless barrel. I started with three coats of fde, followed by three coats of od green for stripes, and finished it with one coat of brown over mesh. After it was over, I very lightly sprayed fde over the entire rifle to break it up some.

I've thought of doing this but can't get the courage up. Your rifle looks good.

Watch some YouTube's videos and just do it. Start with lighter colors then go to darker. Multiple reasons, but the easiest is covering up mistakes. Thanks

Looks good! But don't most guys go from Black to literally any other color?
