Google "Dekalb County police outdoor shooting range". Alot of people say its an open range if cops aren't training or shooting. Its open to the public as long as theres no cops there.

Yeah, all the post is old 2011. Can't tell if its a working range right now. I saw someone posted in August of last year about it so it might still be operating. Just wasn't sure if anyone else has experience or knew anything.

Used to shoot there at lunch when I worked in Lithonia, but that was a long time ago. Not sure what is going on there now.

it's DeKalb County.....i thought the whole place was a shooting range?

I used to go there fairly often. Was open to public Thu, Fri, Sat if the police were not practicing at those times. Nice place. However, I think they shut it down several years ago for public use to save money.

I used to go back in the 1990's. Range used people sentenced to community service changing targets in between rounds. 100 and 200 rifle range. 25 yard pistol range i think.
