Deputy Jamie White, from the Harris County Sheriff's Office (Georgia), was shot in the face Saturday evening after stopping a car on I-185. Miraculously, his life was spared. His doctors have said that it was an act of God that saved Jamie, he shouldn't be alive today. He has a long road to recovery, he's already lost the sight in his left eye, we know he has to have some reconstructive surgery, and he's fighting every day to overcome his injuries. His family needs our help, so, we're going all out and throwing a big party to raise money for them!
June 18th, 10:00am @ Great South Harley Davidson in Newnan is where the ride commences. It's open to bikes, Jeep clubs, 4x4s, hot rods, if it's street legal, bring it. We've got clubs and individuals already clamoring to be a part!
We'll have a police escort all the way to Chattahoochee Harley in Columbus where we'll have Country's Barbecue catering, raffles for everything you can think of, t-shirts, live music, and plenty of opportunities to show your love and pride for our law enforcement officers, Deputy White, and his family.
I'd love to see us run a procession for miles and counter the public negative sentiment that has been aimed at law enforcement lately!
A GoFundMe account has been started at https://www.gofundme.com/273rymc for anybody that wishes to donate. We also have a donation account at Columbus Bank & Trust.
Any businesses, corporations, clubs, etc. that want to donate goods or services for this event, contact me.
I'll post updates and info as it becomes available.
