I set out bright and early last Saturday am to try and get the 2 coyotes I've seen around my stand. About 1/2 way into my 1.5 hour drive to my lease I realized I'd left my call and boots at home.... grr!

The moral is, get everything ready in the evening BEFORE having a couple of beers.

I'll admit it, I've made that mistake a time or two...
Most recent was last year. Got all of my Daughter's stuff together, thought I had checked over mine. Opened my backpack and my orange vest was gone. Luckily, my Father was on his way already. I borrowed one of his blaze orange/reflective work vests.

I guess it happens to all of us. Anytime I go hunting I try keep it simple because yes I've forgotten stuff too. Rifle, ammo and orange are on my basic checklist. Everything else I guess you can work around.

I've had deer in the scope before and forgot to chamber a round. It was fun watching her haul ass when I attempted to bolt one in anyway lol

That's me, but I've learned to drink the coffee before leaving.
If I do that I'll remember everything!

It says right on my drivers license that if I'm driving before 7am I must have coffee with me. Lol

Left early one morning, had the right rifle, but took the wrong ammo, luckily my hunting buddy gave me 4 rounds of his, and we ended up with a nice 9 pointer...

Moral of the story always have someone in the club use the same ammo you need....

Was in the woods years ago at 5am assembling my uncles tree stand climber. I dropped the 1/4 nut and absolutely could not find it. Spent an hour searching it seemed like. Finally just chambered a round and sat down. Rrrrrr. Note: put an extra bolt and nut on the frame.
