Recently moved and have been unpacking. I get to the firearms and pull out my Remington 700 VSSF in 220 Swift. I go for my wipe down cloth and I see the bolt is not in the action. I rip apart the guncase.. Nothing. I rip apart all the other cases.. Nothing. I know you can't just slam a Remington bolt in the rifle. I'm hoping I left it at my sons place. While there he required the bolts to be removed and stored elsewhere. I'm crossing the fingers that he locates it. If he doesn't I need to by a new or used one and have a smith fix things up headspace and all. I know it needs a short action but what bolt face for a 220 Swift? I see complete bolts and they list short actions and 308 bolt face. Buying a replacement is a backup plan, hope it's found at my sons place...
