Do not buy a salt gun for flies!!!!

I like the electric tennis rackets way better than the salt guns. Nothing beats that bolt of lightning that arcs up when you make contact with a fly. It takes a little more finesse than a salt gun but it's way more rewarding to me.
Just ordered a couple of these to send the boy out after the carpenter bees.

Just got a new one not too long ago that is way more powerful than my old one. Straight up vaporizes mosquitoes and smaller flies explode on contact. Bigger bugs like wasps and bees get stunned on the first hit but sometimes need a second whack to get burned.

I have a carpenter Bee problem;
I should probably get something like this to make killing them more fun and less of a chore.
My cousin has a bad carpenter bee problem at his place. He makes an evening of sitting on his porch and shooting them with .22 shotshells like mini skeet shooting.

I shoot flies with a rubber band. At the fire house they called me Mr. Miyagie. The carpenter bees get the pink Red Ryder I bought my daughter 15 years ago. Great hand eye coordination builder. Wing shooting bees is more fun than a dove shoot.

no where enough salt in the world... I've noticed the young ones everywhere lately( dime to quarter size)
I walk around every afternoon with a spider killer sparybomb and get the ones in range. Over 45 since Sunday.
WOW. I'm not having a problem with them right now. Couple years ago I did. The spiders that is

Man this thread is just asking for an "A salt and battery" joke. :D

That's about all I have to offer since I've never used one. I have heard a wiffle ball bat is good for carpenter bees.

I made a mini shotgun out of an old pump 22 rifle specifically for this purpose. I have a reamer that’s designed to remove the rifling and thus make a nice round pattern at double the range of a regular .22 rifled barrel. I can hit bees and watch them explode at close range or I can shoot squirrels off my bird feeder at over 50 feet away and not kill them but make them regret climbing the feeder. It’s pretty cool.
