This illustrates my point I have made before.
If there is one bad apple, the good ones don't stop him and correct him, they go along with him, to get along.

You don't know what they have to deal with. They go through so much, take crap everyday. The rest of us just run off to our "fun" jobs, where we scratch winning lottery tickets and eat ice cream all day. We don't ever have to deal with crap at our jobs.

I was wondering the same thing.

Even though Zombie Ninja may be right & someone may have tried to get in, I feel like God sent me out there at that time to give the officer a first impression of me for what ever it was worth. Like he said, it is hard to get the alarm to go off & you have to try & open the door after it's been locked.

I just can't seem to understand why anyone with a permit would not have it on them at all times (with or without a firearm). Mine stays in a presentation wallet across from my DL. Why would you ever leave your home with a firearm and not have it? Just seems like you're asking for trouble especially going into another State.

When we do not have a firearm on us, we keep all our important items in the gun safe. I grabbed mine but in the rush of getting things ready to go after work on Friday afternoon & then leaving early Saturday morning, he forgot to grab that one thing. Lesson learned for sure.

So LE choose them not the other way around? Didn't they know it was hard? I put up with crap in my job too. If I don't project the image that our Corporation wants to represent, I am gone. We are an at will company.

My post was sarcasm.

Oh SNAP.
I kinda figured, just clarifying.
I stated the same thing to my gf. If the younger in charge officer and the older bulldog had reversed roles I feel something would have been said to the offending officer. But I really feel he was trying to be respectful to his elder senior officer. As I stated earlier they were talking a bit behind his back about how off base he was and he doesn't know how to explain things anyway, at least not in an easily understandable way for even the uninformed or inexperienced.

The Bulldog is still barking at me & begins to say that legislation is pushing to have ALL firearms registered so that they can know who the last owners were & "What if when we ran the numbers of your boyfriends gun, they came back to a crime???"
I Replied "Sir, we're gun rights advocates, & it's not law in our state to register the weapon with the government. We get our weapons through private sale most times &, in our state, all you need is a bill of sale to prove ownership should it ever come back stolen. Beyond that, we have friends who are LEO's & they run the numbers for us so we know they're clean upon purchase without registering them."
His response "Well does he have his bill of sale?!" , "Yes he do-. Wait... Do you mean in the truck with us?? No, he doesn't have his bill of sale for the clean firearm with him in the truck, it's in our safe, at home.."

It sucks you had to go through all that. I have one question in regard to the part above. Where in GA law is the bill of sale prove ownership statement written?
