I have a 2019 Escalade w/ the 6.2 approaching the 90k mile mark. I am getting concerned about the lifter implosion that is affecting so many of these engines. Wanting to do the AFM delete and anything else needed to "bullet proof" this engine. And, just for personal amusement a pretty wild/aggressive cam!! :D Anyone know of or are a GM mechanic in my area (Newnan)?

These guys did some work on my Corvette. They are LS folks. Should be able to sort you out.
I was just going to recommend them or if you don't mind driving, Mo's Speed Shop in Dallas is a great outfit. I know them personally and they do great work. They used to be a Ford mods place but was getting into GM back then. That was heck 13 years ago or so. They have a dyno to tune properly as well. Either one of those places you can't go wrong.

I recommend a set of LS7 lifters and a cam from Texas speed. They have their own custom grinds for trucks. I used them exclusively for my engine builds. Heads, cams, push rods, roller rockers, titanium spring caps, Racetronix injectors and fuel pump. It's a one stop shop. If you call and talk to one if their reps they can recommend the perfect kit to achieve exactly what you are after.

I wouldn't recommend going crazy on the lift and duration or you will loose your bottom end torque. In trucks that is a must if you tow or haul stuff. Stick in the low 220's duration and 500 lift or below. Sometimes you can get buy with a stock converter with that size cam and still get some bump in the exhaust. The guys at Texas Speed can tell you exactly the combo you will like to get the most from your 6.2 with out sacrificing low end torque. Most people don't realize that when you put those giant cams in there that the only way to get the power is at high RPMs. From 3500 up to 7200 RPM. They custom grind camshafts that can produce great power from off idle all the way to 7000 RPMs and put your torque peak right in the sweet spot for street driving. Just something to consider but call them and they can fill you in on the details. Their website have Dyno charts on their own custom grinds so you can see exactly what you'll get with the combo on that Dyno chart.

Vengeance racing can do the same thing but they tend to concentrate on all out power from what I remember but they could have some truck packages as well. One bit of advice is stay away from the Torquer ll camshaft. They are straight up b**** to tune and everybody hates to tune them. It's too big for a truck cam anyway.

I do know that the guys at Moe's are really good people and they stand behind their work. They've been at it for over 20 years so they know what they're doing. Maybe you could go with the Texas Speed package and have them do the work. I know when you go pick your car up after they do it it'll be done right and it's highly likely you won't have to take it back for changes to the tune like a lot of the older tuners do.
