I had tickets to the rained out Drags at Pomona last week, and was reading some gearhead magazines about the IHRA jumping back in on the racing scene. They want to get back to the roots of drags, with more competition from locals and guys that don't have the money to compete with the big guns in the NHRA. Yesterday I read they also are looking into stock car racing, and what a time to do it, when NASCAR's getting sued for stifling competition. Today I read an article that Atlanta Dragway's being considered to reopen and host an IHRA race, and with it still listed as being a race track all it would take is a business license. Liked going there, and hope they can pull it off. With them racing at NHRA tracks I don't think it'd be too long before someone jumps off the NHRA ship and joins them.
