I don't see how folks have enough time to smoke more than 2 packs a day. Damn crackerz! 60-70 cigs a day.
Yep, about 4-5 per hour, or more. Back then, you could smoke almost anywhere, too. Great way to keep your weight down, all that neural stimulus and hunger suppression. Best weight-loss diet ever back then. Smoke instead of eat. That's why I'm so pleasantly plump now. I started smoking because I got a production job for a while when I got out of high school. Smokers got a 5 minute break per hour off the line. So I started.
Never wanted to dip or chew, though. I saw what it did to my father.

I tried to quit with that stuff too, WORST FREAKIN' NIGHTMARES EVER!!!! Scared my wife so bad she told me to just keep smoking, lol! I'm not kidding man, those dreams were so bad that I was screaming in the dream trying to wake myself up to stop the dream but all that came out was a whisper. I knew I was dreaming but there was nothing I could do to wake myself up! I really thought I would end up having a heart attack or something. I think my doctor called them "night terrors", 1000 times worse than a nightmare. Pack a day Marlboro Red Label 100's. Wish I had never started smoking. I was an athlete once upon a time.

I started Chantix yesterday. Slept like a baby last night thankfully and none of the other "serious" side-effects seem to be hitting me. I've been a carton/week smoker for the past 18 years and decided that I need to quit. Don't really "want to" but I understand I "need to" so I'm giving it a go. My "quit date" is set for Saturday at the earliest, Monday at the latest. With just the day two dose I've only had 5 smokes today. About 1/2 what I would normally have smoked by this time on an average Wednesday and probably closer to 1/4 what I would normally have smoked on any day where I didn't have work (such as today). It seems to be making it easier for me and thankfully the side effects don't seem to be hitting me. There are some really bad "potential" side-effects though. Depression, hallucinations, suicide, paranoia, anger/aggressiveness etc. Gave my guns to a close friend to hold while I make sure I don't come down with one of those and do something bad while my mind is messed up from the drug's side-effects. So far, nothing and I'm happy with that :)

Smoking cigarettes makes you look like a complete idiot. Also shows you have little will power and intelligence. Not saying it's true for everyone, but ask anyone in a fortune 500 company, they'll tell you.
