Does cerakote depreciate a guns value??

What are everyone’s thoughts on this? I have a 50AE Desert Eagle XIX that I’ve been thinking about cerakoting. Would this dramatically hurt my value? Feel free to tell me if this is a ridiculous idea lol

If you chose a color/scheme I loved, I may pay full value. The less I like it, the less I’d pay.

So I’ll say it may not hurt the value but it will never add to it for me.

I had a DE50 that I did cerakote job on the slide. Silver slide on a black frame, kept the safety, trigger and sights black. I don't think it hurt the value at all, came out better looking than the plain black DE.

For my money, i prefer the original finish and would pay less but I have seen instances where the original finish was so bad that cerakoting saved and preserved the weapon.

I’m going for a duo tone look like this. The gun is already black so I’ll really only be coating the frame. If you ever played Call of Duty MW2 you may recognize the look I’m going for! Lol
