Does everyone here know what constructive intent means?

Until someone goes to prison for constructive intent I choose to remain dubious.

If a gun store sells me a complete lower for an AR and a complete upper with a sub 16 inch barrel, did they just conspire with me in constructive intent? Did they sell me an unregistered SBR? Would it matter if I have parts at home I'm replacing with the new parts? Would it matter if I have an approved form 1 lower receiver with me or at home?

For 5.56, true. But a 300BO in an AR pistol configuration is a totally different thing.
AR pistol is shorter, so more "handy". But for me, the allure of the AR pistol is to have a vacation gun. More rounds on tap than a normal pistol. More energy. Better range. Short barrel is easier to conceal in the luggage when going into a hotel room.

Still a pistol, so pistol rules apply. Can't have a loaded rifle in your car in some places, and even a prepared magazine might be considered "loaded". But the states in which I vacation all recognize a GA carry license, and it's a pistol, after all.

Yeah, didn't watch the video but I'm unaware of anyone ever being charged with "constructive intent" for owning a separate stock and pistol upper.

Nor did I. And I haven't either and I make it a point to ask NFA owners about such things after we break the ice. No one I've talked to has even been checked for a tax stamp by someone of sufficient authority to ask. Even with machine guns. I really don't think the ATF is looking to bother the general public when the dealers are easy targets and the importers are like a grocery store. 🤔

I'll agree to "general public" but the justice department is so easily weaponize by powerful pols. An upstanding man is killed in a no knock by a tactical team for selling firearms without a license!
