Does most of sellers require deposits?

A second thought. Get a copy of a current federal Firearms Transaction Record (Form 4473) - which you presumably filled out the questions in Section B are the ones that gave rise to your NICS failure, read the accompanying notes and identify - if it's not obvious - why the check meant you were declined.

Lots of those reasons are ones you are simply not going to be able to resolve. And if that's the case, you're completely out of luck for a purchase from a gun store, and with purchases from a lot of people via private sales.

While gun ownership is a constitutional right - some very minor interactions with the law can result in that right being denied.

In which case, you'll be out of luck.

Incidentally, be very VERY cautious about having AI speak for you. We've seen many situations where AI has been outright wrong on federal and state law, especially when it comes to firearm law.

While a hunting license permits you to carry a firearm while hunting or on certain public lands, it is not a document that permits you to purchase or own a firearm in GA.

(Got help from AI to deliver my words better)
I moved here for work and recently started collecting and shooting as a hobby because it’s legal and accessible in this state. I’ve been involved in shooting for years: I was a competitive shooter in my previous country, and I legally owned firearms there. In that country, civilians generally need to be competitive shooters or professional hunters to possess firearms. so firearms arem't new to me.

Before buying here I checked the laws. As I understood them, an alien legally in the U.S. is not automatically prohibited from purchasing firearms if they meet the statutory exceptions (for example, possession of a valid hunting license or permit). That’s why I obtained a Georgia hunting license, went to a licensed dealer, completed the required checks, and the dealer approved my purchase. The relevant statutes and regs I looked at include 18 U.S.C. § 922(d)(5), (g)(5), (y)(2) and 27 C.F.R. §§ 478.11, 478.32(a)(5).

I’m fully aware firearms are serious and dangerous. That’s exactly why I’ve been careful I don’t want trouble, I don’t want to harm anyone, and I intend to follow all applicable laws and rules. I posted here looking at used firearms because many vintage/classic guns are sold used and often at lower prices than new. That’s what I’m interested in, not anything shady.

I don’t want to make anyone uncomfortable and I don’t want this community to be a place where illegal activity happens.
Just keep in mind no one wants to get in trouble here either. Every seller is different. It's their stuff and their rules how they want to sell it. Get involved with the post will probably help you a lot to get started. Just like what you're doing here

Trusting others to enjoy their Constitutionally enumerated rights? Hell yes I do. Freedom can be dangerous, but not as dangerous as the world you propose.
Spread that goodness!! Halleluja!!

I think you'd be the guy to teach some foreign nationals how to fly, but not how to land.
