Dog death question

Sorry to hear about your pet, it sure sounds like the way my dog did. Was there any symptoms in the weeks before his passing?

Zero symptoms up until the day he died. It was very strange.

He had regular checkups and blood work and had been to the vet 2 months before he passed. The docs who treated him said they have seen this before and there is NO WAY to scan for it or pre-treat it. They also said if they were able to save him that day, he would have have only lived another 2 weeks max.

here is something to think about, people have been known to poison dogs to prepare for their next step which is to break in a house. I would keep my guard up just in case.

I had a ten year old that showed some signs of lethargy for a few days before suddenly passing. But the next days she was fine. Fine the night before found her dead the next morning.
Rather perplexing.

Geez, this is just scaring the crap out of me. When the last two passed (they were very old), I swore I'd never get so attached to a dog again.
Now here I am, heart and soul into another with a fear of an untimely passing. Sheesh!

Sorry for your loss. Same type thing happened a few years ago with our Shepherd. Ours made it to the the next morning but had to be put down. Pancreas issue that caused a stroke. I love our new Shepherd but I will never forget our first.

my English bulldog gets frogs all the time in the summer and sometimes foams at the mouth but she hasn't passed, but with it being this cold outside they aren't out.
