Doing some buttstock work..anybody know of an adhesive that can be used on kydex??

I have used JBweld to attach a plastic picatinny rail to a plastic 870 forend. That was a few years and a few thousand rounds ago and it still holds firm. It has an X300 light attached so it is carrying weight and absorbing 12ga recoil with no signs of breaking. You will need to sand or rough up both parts you want to attach so the JBweld has something to grab onto. You will only need to spread a thin layer but you will need to hold it tight while it sets (about 24 hours). I used some 100MPH tape pulled very tight to hold it in place while the JBweld set. After 24 hours I pulled the tape off and it has held solid ever since. Heads up though, this would be a permanent modification.

I haven't used it on Kydex but like I said I used it on a plastic rail piece made by Magpul and a Speedfeed 870 forend. It has held up for years now. I don't see why it couldn't be used to hold some kydex to a piece of carbon fiber. I did find this link where they discuss the use of JBweld and Kydex. A guy said it worked for him so.. http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/271440-Kydex-and-JB-Weld

I have used JBweld on 870 front sights for a long time and never had one come off. JBweld is some tough stuff.
