I don't know. Before this past year I would have said anywhere between that lint you find in your pocket sometimes to however much change I can dig out of my couch. I don't know AK prices, so I don't want to put a range on it. I'd say less than what Arsenals are commanding right now?

You can still grab new arsenals for 13-1500 from Atlantic or Kvar. These peckerwoods on here are asking more than that for a wasr. IMO, its not the time to dabble without knowing the market. Sounds like you might be looking for a PAP or something similar.

I'd grab a new Arsenal from KVAR for $1300 before I spent $1K on a WASR. Prices on Arsenal are going up, not down. Or spend $500 more and get one of the higher models.

Alternately, keep an eye on Atlantic's stock. They get stuff in daily but some of it sells out QUICK.

But Arsenal still gets my vote.

I won't pay a crazy price for an AK that will be around for a long while. I have a budget of around $2k max depending on the deal. Fixed stock, folding stock, doesn't matter. Preferably 16" or close to that length. PSA, Arsenal, whatever pops up. I do my research before I buy, so not looking to get robbed, I just want to see what's available. I don't mind hunting for one new, but I assumed someone might have too many AK's looking to offload one.

There's a TGI AMD-65 listed here. I like them, I have one. The cheekweld on the wire stock sucks, but I knew that when I got it. If you decide to SBR like I did, it only takes about 5 minutes with a needle file.

I do hold value in a good cheekweld. I don't have the collapsible stocks on any of my AR platforms for that reason.

When you had mentioned folding stock, I assumed wire folders were fine also. If you want a folder with a good cheekweld, your options will be somewhat limited but that brings us back full circle to Arsenal as far as immediate availability is concerned...

I'm open to fixed stocks as well. I think I'd actually prefer a fixed stock over a triangle folder in most cases. It just depends on the rifle.
