Had to bury our sweet Alli girl today. For a Walker Hound, she had a good, long life. Made it 15 and a half years. Mighty fine dog. Loved when I'd drop a squirrel. Never missed a possum or a raccoon. UPS and FedEx were terrified of her. Just a big empty spot in the livingroom now.

As it has been said ….. I am sure….dogs give us their all plus some. We damned sure don’t deserve the love they give most of the time. They will always be loyal and true to you, as good or better than any human is to you.
I have always been convinced that there is a major part of GOD in each and every dog.
I am so very sorry for your loss and hope that you soon find the energy and encouragement to give another lonely dog a great home. They damned sure deserve them .
May your pain become less and less each and every day , as quickly as possible.
