"Don't leave the water running"

I'm staying over at my girlfriends house because I had to take her home from work. I didn't shower today because I was on a busy deadline with work and needed to leave to pick her up as soon as I was done. So, I decided to shower at her place. As I was showering I get a knock on the door from one of her roommates, saying "don't just leave the shower running if you're not in it."

So as I'm out of the shower I approach him and explain I was in fact in the shower. I told him if he was referring to the mid showwe flush that I didn't want to piss all over the drain hair blocker thing since people like to remove it. It's not my shower to piss in so I didn't. He calls me a liar to my face saying it didn't "sound" like I'm in the shower and I don't have a towel in my hand.

I don't like being called a liar. So I explained that I forgot my towel. There are other ways to dry off. What I do in the shower is none of his damn business and if he doesn't believe me then he can go to hell.

What are these people? 16 years old? I get it, it's your place and you pay for the water. Come on man...

Now they are discussing how I'm over too much and so is my dog. Okay, I come visit 2 times a week. Sometimes only for a couple of hours. This just pissed me of because what do you expect when living with 3 people in a small apartment?

Nah. I think it was more about running the hot water since it goes through the furnace. Even if I did run the water for bo reason, why would I run hot to fog up the bathroom? Makes no sense. Does he like to chill in the bathroom with the water running? I didn't even know it's a thing to worry about much less bitch about.

Meh, next time you go over just reach in your pocket, pull out a fist full of pennies and nickels and tell him that was to repay for the last shower and credit for one or two in the future..... then when he gives you a shifty look, ask if he needs you to count it out for him
