What’s y’all’s dream fishing trips? I have 3 that I haven’t been able to do yet and one of them is very far fetched due to location.

No 1 on my list is catching a Goliath grouper 100lbs plus

No 2 on my list is going to South America and fishing for monster peacock bass

No 3 and far fetched but a bucket list trip is going to the coast of South Africa (Cape Town maybe?) and fishing for GT.

what’s your fishing dream trips, maybe you’ve done them maybe not. What say ye?

I've had the privilege to have fished in many really cool locations in my years. However, the best fishing by far I've ever done was central Pacific coast of Costa Rica, from mid-October through early March. Sailfish so big they're difficult to get onto the transom for a photo. Marlin that will pull your arms off. Tuna that feel like you're reeling up a Volkswagen. But you have to go for a full day, into blue waters, off the shelf. This was in 2005 fishing out of Tamarindo, and this was a small sail compared to what we were catching through the day.

tarpon,sailfish and a huge shark
We went to destin on a weekend fishing trip this past weekend and a guy hooked up with a sailfish on a different charter and it jumped twice and spit the hook. Man I’d love to catch one but my house isn’t big enough for a mount like that... and it would be mounted. LOL
