Drive-In Movie theater off moreland ave

Starlight is one of my favorite neighborhood features! Used to go there a good bit until the kiddos were born. Had lots of fun there for the Atlanta downhill challenge and yearly car shows. Once it cools off, I'll definitely be back!

Try pulling out your (drl fuse) usually under the hood. I see no sense in having parking lamps on during the day, you would think they would have a switch to disable that on some cars....

I enjoy the starlight and live close by.

The key is to get two families in two vehicles. Take three parking spots and cookout in the center spot, with the car Windows down on both sides. Works great.

DRLs won't cut off at park/idle? Cardboard and frog tape, or fuse (as mentioned). Most newer models have a bypass procedure if you read the manual.

There are, I think, a dozen drive-in theaters left on the planet. One of them is up here in Blue Ridge. In fact, it's our only movie theater period. It's cheap too. I haven't been in a couple of years but I think it's around 7-8 bucks per car. They don't care how many people are in there. They allow coolers...couldn't control that if they wanted to anyway. If for some reason you can't use your car stereo, you can either park or walk over to the concession stand area and sit at a picnic table. They have the sound playing over loud speakers. They usually play double features unless it's one of those really long epic films. So next time you get the urge...make a day trip to Blue Ridge, enjoy the tourist trap gift shops and food...then hit the drive-in...just be careful driving home...hour and a half back to Atlanta after dozing off through half the second feature ending around Midnight or so.
