The ones we used three weeks ago in Austin, TX were restricted to surface streets only.
They were not allowed to travel on the interstates and beltways.

I am driverless taxi/car illiterate - so, what's to prevent a bad guy wanting to blow up the World Congress Center and sticking a bomb in the car in lieu of getting in or putting in a homeless person he paid $20 to, if the driverless car needs an actual living breathing human, and the bomb?

So many bad ways to use this technology.

The Uber is not as important as the trucking industry, but surely with these things going driverless a cyber attack or glitch could bring things to a standstill. Won’t even need a EMP in a few years, just turn off the trucks and half the cars and we’d be screwed.
