Driverless taxis

Always thought self driving cars were more of a lane assist, assisted driving type thing. Rode in my buddies Tesla the other day, he punched in where we wanted to go, sat back and the car took us from my house to there on backroads, highways and city streets. Instantly made a believer out of me.

I am driverless taxi/car illiterate - so, what's to prevent a bad guy wanting to blow up the World Congress Center and sticking a bomb in the car in lieu of getting in or putting in a homeless person he paid $20 to, if the driverless car needs an actual living breathing human, and the bomb?

So many bad ways to use this technology.

What’s to stop someone from doing it themselves?
