Doubt a rubber hose would work on my driveway, over half is gravel road..I am still looking for one!
Most of mine is gravel as well, but the beginning of the drive is paved as it’s the steepest part of the drive. So I have mine on the paved section, but when I was shopping for it I read the reviews and many people said that they successfully use one on a gravel drive.

The Dakota system with the buried sensor is the way to go. I put mine in 14 years ago and it is still going strong. Installed same for a neighbor about the same time and his is working great as well.

Signal goes 400' through trees to my house.

Gravel?, sure it will, any pressure change in the hose triggers it. Milton Driveway bell is the best. I mean don’t burry the hose it under the stones. Mine gets triggered by 4 wheelers and atv’s as well.
My point was that running over it on top of the gravel, will cut the hose over a short period of time..
