If you want a drone to fly around go for it but if you want to take some good shots and videos get a DJI

They haven't actually produced any proof that DJI is doing anything illegal with the video its owners capture. The US is simply mad that the Chinese have produced a product so good that it has essentially monopolized the hobby and commercial drone industries. This is in part because the Chinese gov has subsidized DJI like they do many other industries, which has allowed them to drown out any US competitors, of which I've never even heard of.

But you also have to give DJI credit for making an incredible product. There is literally nothing that comes close to their drones. They're that good.

Anyhow, how can we be mad at China for these types of subsidies when we did the same with Tesla? This is a pissing contest with China.

We are building a digital map, a 3 dimensional twin of the US and giving it to China. When they decide to invade they already have their digital map.

Every time I fly my DJI, I make sure to get some footage of my balloon knot first, just in case. Get a good look, chinamen!
