Arkansas or Louisiana I would think.
Looking for known guide services odt people have used or heard of.
Venice, La is nice. We went there a few years in a row and it was awesome! Cast n Blast is what the outfitter is called. Last year was fun. Lots of pintails, teals, and shovelers. The place they have to stay in the marina is nice too. Pick you up downstairs.
I just got back from Arkansas and hunted with bigcreekducks&bucks.com. Had a great time and although our first day was really slow, the second day we filled our limit by 7:30am. Third morning wasn't like the second, but we still got around a dozen. The colder it gets up north the better it will be. Oh and the food and accommodations are awesome!
My problem is time, I will have to just about do a 1 or 2 day max, drive out Friday, hunt Saturday and sunday and come home sunday eve. I have a little bit of a window the week of Christmas but not much.
It's worth the drive to Arkansas for even a day and a half if the cold is pushing the birds down south.
I'm headed to Arkansas mid-January for three days in a flooded rice patty under the flyway. Can't wait.
