Dum-as lowballers

I've always wondered how many peolple just don't read the entire post. To me firm means firm, no trades mean no trades and "must travel to me" does not mean "meet you halfway". If I see these things in a post and am unwilling to deal at those conditions I don't even ask. If the post-er gets no action he'll generally either hold what he's got or change his conditions.

I will never try to put a value on another man's property. I just reckon it means more to him than it does me if I feel his price is too high.

Did you nail them on iTrader? I see a lot of stories but seldom see negative iTrader feedback... I would not hesitate to negate... and place them on my ignore list...

This was on GON and I did leave bad feedback - of course they slammed me as well. The mods there basically removed both entries - which tended to happen more often than folks knew...

Attempting to renegotiate after a deal is set or pay less than an agreed upon price for anything is very poor form and displays a lack of character. I would not deal with that person even if it meant I had to lick the oil off the gun for nutritional value because I needed the money to buy groceries.

I couldn't agree with you more!! When a price is agreed upon prior to a meet it must be upheld.

What's worse is when you arrive at a price, show up at the meet and they say "I only have XXX with me (less than agreed on)". Happened to me once...

^^^^THIS^^^^ when you are selling anything. Price is agreed upon and they're always just short about $10-$15, not enough to make you say later but just enough that they got over on you. It happened to me twice (not here), the next time I told the buyer never mind, they sad really for $10 and I said yep, they paid me. Why do some people always have to try to get over on other people.

Have yet to have a guy try and offer me less at the meet, heck usually if anything is different than agreed they are bringing extras(ammo, mags, holster etc.) for the gun they didn't mention which is great! I do the same a lot also.

I know it's not a gun but a while back I was going to buy a truck we had agreed to 1,200 (Old beater project truck) I get there after going through all the trouble of borrowing a car hauling trailier from a friend 30 minutes in the oppisite direction and driving all the way out to house, only to have him say. Well I changed my mind I want 1500 and no less....I was like WHAT?!?!?!? The original price he had on it at the road was only 1,400!!! I was like NO WAY. He stood firm for a while. I got in my truck and started to leave and then he came up to me and said ok, I'll take 1,300. I started driving off mad as He!!. He screamed at me to stop, so I did and he said "ok I'll take the 1,200 I just figured after you went through all the work to get here with the trailer and all you would pay more just to get it"....I told him at this point I don't care if he said the truck was 1,000 I wouldn't buy it and drove off.....Now that PISSED ME OFF!!!!!

I had a guy email me about a gun a while back, not only offering only 2/3 of what my reduced asking price was, but saying 'thats all its worth'...not that's all its worth to me, just that's all its worth in general.

I told him if he wanted it it would cost him $100 more than I was asking lol

I also had a pistol I was selling for $300, different guy said he needed a pistol, wasn't lowballing but offered me $150 for my pistol, so I didn't say anything just sent him a link to a high point for sale hahaha I think he got the message and left me alone after that

i was selling an older computer monitor the other day. Agreed on 20 bucks. guy shows up and offer 10. I say no deal and walk back towards my vehicle. He say say nevermind 20 will work! I respond no it wont, that deal fell through, I am now selling it for $30. He got pissed but ultimately paid me.

muthaf***a. I should have known not to do business with him. You know the feeling you get when you talk to them and know they are gonna flake. it worked out... but still had me pissed

Ive went to buy guns before with a price set at say 350 and gave them 360 just so i didn't have to break change. but on the other hand if one guy hadent counted the money out i would have stiffed him 100 bucks.... im glad he wasn't up tight about it because it was just an honest mistake, and i had the extra money on me.
