How's the battery life?

It runs on (I think, going off memory) 8 AA batteries, and they last a LONG time. I ran my old 880 from late September until late January, and never changed the batteries. I use Lithium Duracell AA batteries.

I'll second the praises for the 880. I have the previous model as well and it is exceptional at that price. If you use the lithium batteries it will last over a year.

I have two and with the lithium batteries and a 32 gig micro card...I have left them in the woods for 6 months...They are the bomb! May have to head over there tomorrow and pic two more at that price...Thanks
