Engine whiny noise through the car speakers

Basic Radio.......the stereo radio has at least 2 self contained amps in it......

Your factory radio contains an amplifier. On the off chance the car is a C4 corvette, the amps are built into the speakers on the bose system and have a reputation for going bad and causing a whining, buzzing sound.

Otherwise, you amp is poorly grounded or on it's last leg.

Probably not the case. The C4 has an amp built in to each speaker, and the radio itself isn't powered. I don't think that's the case with your Suburban....I could be wrong though.

This... This used to happen a lot in the older days, hence the term "resistor spark plugs" and wires
