**** enterprise rental

Go up there and tell them your back hurts from riding in their wore out car and your are thinking about calling (whatever ambulance chaser you like) and see what they think about you being given a unsafe motor vehicle for a rental.

gonna rent a car to take the wife to NY to catch a plane to the Philippines for a missions trip.
car rental is 120 bucks for the 3 days, ins from them is 80 bucks for 3 days. gonna buy the insurance.
always buy their insurance. they make money on it for sure. but i will let them, then i dont pay out of pocket.

Don't get all butthurt because you won't man up. I was raised with "what would John Wayne do!" NOT why am I having trouble taking care of what curveball life threw me. Here again you are blaming the car and proclaiming its not road worthy or safe. Was it a self driving car and it steered you into the bump? GLWS
Like I said, I’m a person who has standards:)

Just curious, why not drive your car to Hartsfield and have the wife fly to NY?

money and chance of her being late. its an $1800 ticked to fly to the Philippines. all the flights leaving HJ put her there at 5 or 8 pm, her flight leaves on the 27th at 10 am. so its try and get a room(=$$) or stay at the airport (=danger) overnight.
so we talked and decided to leave early and drive up. i can make sure she gets there on time, dont need to worry about her getting mugged, dont need to worry about the airline losing her stuff..
then i will just drive back. we have not decided on her flying back from JFK. i may drive up and we can take our time coming home. check out some stuff on the way back..

so, i had my hyundai side swiped (not my fault, geico the at fault party is covering body work). so as part of body work i get a rental. ok, fine with me. bring it to repair shop tuesday. they use enterprise, normal process and then on they bring me the rental car. its a piece of **** mitsubishi mirage. ok fine, the one car crappier than my own (some of yall may have laughed at the meet and greet because of it). i get the car and the interior is ****ty (some caked on dried mud smear on the passenger side door). i should have returned it right there. but no, im too affable. get in car and notice the ****ing tire pressure sensor is also lit up. sigh, **** it ill take it to kroger down the road and throw air in the tire. mistake number 2, should have returned it then. but despite the tires all being at the 44 psi level the ligth is still on.

to hell with it i think, im only having this car a few days. get a text from body shop saying maybe the 17th lol. ok fine whatever. then the fun starts

driving home from the meet and greet, down i20 into atlanta, i hit a bump (where one of them storm drains are in the lefthand lane). now the car is ****ty and tiny and i feel the bump throughout my entire body (my butt wouldnt stop making a fist due to the crappy seats). i think geeez, wtf, ok....look at the display screen for the bluetooth and backup camera.....has ****ing spiderwebbed cracked. thats right, the display screen glass has cracked like someone hit it with a damn slingshot.

i asap call enterprise, the local office closed at 1 on saturday so the corporate folks took my info and said they would call me to exchange the car (i explain to them this is an act of god and i didnt hit it with anything or launch quarters into the car with a spud cannon)

take it in today, they tell me its just part of their insurance they will charge my card an additional 200 bucks on top of the 50 deposit to cover the deductible...........uhhhh how about no, since it was your piece of **** car that crapped out on me. i explain that this is in no way my fault, but the enterprise rental employee basically admits there is nothing he can do on his end and even if i walked out they would charge my card. he then says :a recovery specialists can reach out to you about next steps and possible reimbursement

hell no, hell no there wont be reimbursement, ive been down this road before and by giving them any money they look at it as you admitting fault

so what do i do? i contacted geico but they were like "gee that sucks, but its 3rd party blah blah blah" but im gonna send them the receipt anyway. should i dispute the charge with my credit card company? put up with enterprise "steps" in the hopes i get compensated

by the way, the enterprise folks still wanted to know if i wanted a differant car.......**** no, i dont need another time bomb from you sons of *****es

/end rant

anyone got any suggestions? maybe they will make it right but at this point i very much doubt to get anything but a middle finger from their corporate lackeys
i just noticed,i must have been tired last night..
you seem to be mad at them, but in the title you gave them 4 stars?
**** enterprise rental..

Looks like you got it all friggered out, but that’s a lot of driving.
Good luck, be careful and remember no guns, ammo or magazines allowed in those Commie states.

dispute it via your credit card. When they start talking "you buying insurance, ask to see their State of GA insurance agent's license, which NONE of them have, then tell them you will report them to the State of GA for selling insurance without a license." The look on their faces will be priceless.

I worked in insurance regulation for 40 years, would always get the "song and dance" at the car rental counter about buying this or that optional coverage....asking for their insurance agent's license shut them up RIGHT NOW.
I believe Collision damage waiver isn’t insurance technically. I worked in truck leasing for many years and it wasn’t considered there either.

I'm sorry, thats funny for me. I'm in Australia at the moment. Hired from Enterprise 2 tonne van with less than 40,000klms (25000 miles) on the weekend. The front left shock was done an it had definite axle damage going on as well. I had the full insurance package with $0 deductible an was basically using the van for onsite storage for two days so did not give a ****. Returned it an told them it was not safe to drive. They could not process me out fast enough to rent the van to someone they had waiting. Their dodginess is global.
