Ethanol Free Gas Needed

Ethanol gas sucks! I never knew you could get it anywhere but a marina.
Also, I've heard that quick trip gas has some bad additive so I avoid them too.

QT gas has alot of dirt and sediment in it,

I was complaining to the mechanic that worked on the A/C on our church bus about having to change the fuel filter on our car every few months,

he said "you get your gas at Quicktrip dont ya?"

"uhh, yeah, right by my house"

"thats your problem"

I stopped buying it at QT and didnt have any more problems with the fuel filter clogging up.

I remember when the big change happened in 91-92. The ethanol gummed up my injectors by breaking old crud loose in the system and I had to get them cleaned. Are the newer cars made specifically for ethanol fuels, and will going with real gas cause any problems?

Using non-ethanol fuel will not cause any issues whatsoever. The alcohol most likely dried out your injectors. Not as much lubricity and it burns hotter. Not good. I had the same issue with a 1996 Lumina. $700 damage.

I only buy from QT and Racetrac and have never had any problems. The Habib marts scare me, they cant clean the bathrooms, let alone maintain tanks and pumps.

I went and got some yesterday. The Racetrack that is supposed to have it across from Harbor Freight on Bells Ferry in Kennesaw isn't open yet. Supposed to be next week, so I went to the Velero on Glade Road in Acworth. Cost me less than $4 a gallon. As I was driving back, I saw another Velero on Old Hwy 41 just outside the main drag through Acworth. Looked like it was over $5 a gallon.

The Marathon on Buford Dam road has ethanol free gas - for $1.00 more a gallon than regular... My lawn equipment will have to suffer - I ain't paying $4.40 a gallon...

It's worth it for the lawn equipment. However, it's really only critical with the smaller engines in edgers, trimmers, blowers, etc. A lawn mower would probably be ok but after my Echo equipment carbs getting all gummed up I won't use ethanol gas anymore.
