My answer: not really. For the most part I have sen them on people who weren't very interesting to look at in the first place but needed a conversation starter. They can be very good for that or as a bookmark for those with bad memories.

I think if you get some ink done it should have some meaning behind it rather than be something you just picked off the wall because you thought it looked cool at that particular moment and you wanted "something".
I am not a tattoo guy - no interest at all. My friend has several, one of which is a band of ancient text around his bicep. He claims that it says something romantic in Aramaic, but I think it says "one ring to rule them all". He is never amused.
