Everyone broke?

I do think that some people are a little tapped out at the moment. But there is also the fact that a lot of people bought into guns over the past few years at extremely inflated price tags - and now they want out of them at only a small discount off what they paid for them. And that's not happening right now at all. I have picked up a few decent deals lately...but now I am tapped out from my recent purchases. :p

I am sorry, I should have noticed your feedback score and realized that you know more about the ODT and the prices of everyone else's guns than anyone else here. Also, it is beating a dead horse due to the amount of times that this has been discussed, but then again, a veteran ODT'er like yourself already knows this. :deadhorse:

Really? I guess because you have been on here for a couple of years you are now the resident expert at what constitutes a dead horse beating? I've been on here about 18 months longer than you and have almost 5X as many posts. Does that make me an expert? No...sorry, I don't think so.

So you post a lot on the internet. All that shows is that you can type and hit enter no matter how silly your remarks are.

OOOOH...burn. Not. I bow to your internet expertise...since you have more transactions on here, you must be smarter than me...obviously. Especially since you feel you have the right to attack other members in open forum based on your feedback and post count versus theirs. :loco:

Well I am off to bed, continue trolling until the wee hours of the morning. Can't stay up all night waiting for you to go back under your bridge, after your 6,000th brilliant internet comment, mr. star wars. Yes you really are Darth Vader, keep telling yourself that.

I am shopping for a shotgun. Saw a couple of deals, but one would require me to drive one way for 4 hours, and I do not want to do that (I do not buy used guns sight unseen). I missed the other one, since I prefer to deal via PM and not text. Rest.... Many other used prices are almost the same (or higher) than Bud's. With free shipping and no fee OTD-friendly FFL dealers I might as well buy new.

Handloader and Junior...let's give it a break and Lets not be asses to each other okay?
Ask yourselves, is it worth a hat? - No.
So move along and stop measuring dick size.

I think people are just buying at good prices now and looking to maximize their dollar. 1-1.5 years ago gun prices, here on ODT, Pawn shops and big box scores and online were in sane. And that was just for the gun. Why, all because of fear. Everyone was afraid they weren't going to be able to buy guns any longer. And everyone took advantage of that. Just like in a SHTF situation, the dollar bill won't mean jack. It'll be food, water, ammo and guns that'll be the desires of man. And maybe not even in that order. Now, you can not only get a gun, most situations you're getting a nice holster, ammo, extra mags, boxes and some upgrades for a better price than what the gun alone use to sell for. So, I don't think everyone is broke, I just think they're shopping smarter. And they should be. Also, we're heading into that part of the year where people are saving up for December 25th.

So here's my thing on the Glocks. I like trading into them more than buying because like some said here brand new you're going to spend about $550-$600 after tax at a big box for a new one. Why don't people look into buying Police Trade-In Glocks? I mean everyone boasts so much how Glocks are just "Indestructible" or how "There's no such thing as a used Glock since you can take 'em over to Smyrna and let them do their magic on them." I went to AO Saturday, got a G27 that looked practically brand new, came with 2 magazines, one with the pinky extender, Night Sights that were super bright, box, paper work, first fired casing, brush, speed loader and all for $419.99 before tax. I walked out of there right at $450.00 for a G27. Got a 40-9 conversion barrel coming in from another ODTer here (mrdrhumphreys; where you can get them from him if you need one) and you can shoot 2 calibers. I guess some people just have that thing about buying everything they get a "New". I've never been that way about guns. Quality is always best. If a gun is proven and time and time and time again countless Gov't, LE and Security agencies use a particular brand it's probably going to be more than dependable for a defensive situation.

Just my $0.02
