My late and last dog. He was a sweet heart. A 100 lb. lap dog. He had to be setting beside me at all times. We had a oversized recliner and he would get up in that with me Everytime I sat down in it.

When we bought him he was just a shy little puppy. When we took him home from the breeder he was just shaking from nervousness and farted all the way home. And it stunk too high heaven! Poor little thing.

At that time we lived in the third level apartment and I had to pick him up and take him down those steps every time he had to go outside. We also had to walk down about 50 yards to where the grass was so we can do his business. He was too wobbly leg to get down the steps and back up. So he really was my dog in the family. I love that dog so much it hurts to think these gone.

His name was Opie, which is the nick name for ( OP ) Optimus Prime.. My kids had everything to do with that one. Silly as it may be it turned out to be the perfect name. He was just a big old lovable American Staffordshire terrier. He loved everyone and everything. He wouldn't bother cats and he wouldn't bother other dogs. He just wanted to have fun and love on people. Best pet I ever had by far in my life. Pull up the pic and enlarge it you can just see him sitting there smiling away.

Me with a turkey from 2023. It was the most perfect by the book hunt. A few soft tree yelps, hit my hat against my leg to simulate a fly down, a good hard cut right after, I watched him fly down and run toward me across a hay field, he flew over a fence and as soon as he hit the ground from jumping the fence I pulled the trigger.
