26" stainless fluted barrel. Heavy varmint taper on the barrel, starts out at 1.25" and final taper at muzzle is 1".

Yes, the bedding is aluminum.

i had a 308 mauser i built with a similar stock

i like the bedding on that stock is it aluminum ?? mine was merely glass bedded

i remember this gun we put that scope on a 22 and hit a quarter at 130 yards lol the scope cost more than the 22

Sweet...I'm working on putting together a 25-06...although I am just buying a rifle and putting a very nice scope on it.

Gotta post up some pics when that beast is complete! 26" barrel ought to squeeze every bit of velocity out of that 25-06. That barrel length would be ideal for a 257 Weatherby!

I pondered the weatherby for a little while, ammo is expensive and I don't reload at the moment. My 14 year old daughter will be shooting this as well, don't want to beat her up too bad.

Yeah...257WM ammo is stupid expensive...like 2X premium .25-06. I bet Hornady SST stuff would sizzle coming out of a 26" barrel.

I hear ya...I can't get my 13YO daughter over the .22LR level yet. But at least she likes to shoot...more than I can say for her mother.
