Why is the parking lot any different? Would you let them search if you were between the inner and outer doors? What about the sidewalk? Is the black pavement your ultimate goal and initial taste of freedom?

I don't steal, so I guess I wouldn't be looking for the "border" regardless. I do think they should have the ability to make sure people aren't shoplifting while people are in their place of business.

I agree that they should have that ability. However, when I am leaving and own everything on my person nobody has the right to ask me to stop and prove it. They need to monitor people before and at the register, stop putting items after the registers and get rid of self checkout lanes.

Thats why they have things like CCTV and loss prevention. So they should also be able to pat you down when you enter if they have a "no gun" policy right?

If they want to put up metal detectors and make sure you are un-armed then sure, if that's their policy. I have no problem with that. I'll just buy my cheap chinese made **** elsewhere.
