F U Costco

F...ing great man.
So you spend close to $7,200 so you could save $50
That's like $4 a month.

I should quit my job and do that. You know, I work 45hours a week, plus drive 10 hours a week. F that, i should be spending money at Costco. That's where the money at.

Do you guys like work for Costco or got stocks in it?
No, we like don't work there, or like don't got no stock there. We just like high quality merchandise at a discount price.

Its been a while since I was in the loop on various stores security practices. However, in 2011 the average cost to individual families per year was 400.00 in markups retailers had to make due to shoplifting. That's money out of all of our pockets. I understand Costco's policy and find it acceptable. If they did not check receipts their cashiers would be giving product to family and friends on a grand scale.

You are correct. I was being very lose with my terminology. However, I don't think "he would not pull his receipt out of his pocket for me" is enough for RAS that a crime was committed.

Not questioning your knowledge or trying to act like a know it all, it's just most people know nothing of RAS. RAS is all about what can be justified given the totality of the circumstances. We both know the store clerk earning $7.35/hr given a highlighter and sense of authority would not call it in to dispatch that simple.. Most likely "based on my experience" they are called in much more severe than they end up being. A simple traffic stop with both people being courteous and professional would reveal the truth in short time, allowing both to be on their way with no trouble.

Oh, no doubt. Unless the call to the police was greatly embellished, though, there still would not be RAS from what was described. And absolutely no offense taken. I was definitely incorrect in saying PC instead of RAS.
