Factory Five 33 Hot Rod

Sorry no real updates, waiting on pushrods to get here, headed to Summit again this morning to exchange headers. Wednesday is the day I have to write the big check, then a couple of weeks waiting for the car. The car can be built several different ways. Here's one I really like:

Looks like I did do something today. Changed the rear end cover to something more sparklie. This is a 8.8 differential from a Fox body Mustang. Powder coated black. Has new 3.73 gears, rebuilt posi and some heavy duty axles. Now I just need some Cobra brakes....P6300015.jpgP6300016.jpg

Yep, open fender is definitely the way to go.
Thanks, the "bike" fenders they offer are ugly and I haven't seen an example yet of where they look good. The full length fenders with running boards are sexy if you have the perfect wheel/tire combo to go with it.

Went to Summit to exchange headers. I almost blew a gasket when the guy at the service desk said he was going to charge me a "restocking" fee. I had already explained to him the bolt holes did not align properly, there was already signs of the chrome coming off and that they had been mounted prior to me getting them. He finally (wisely I might add) gave me a full refund. I picked up a set of BBK shorty headers that look great, fit perfect, and were 20.00 cheaper. Never leave Summit with a box that has been opened or a part that has been previously installed. Also picked up a polished water pump to match the intake. For a minute I thought it didn't line up until I realized I had a piece of tape covering a mounting hole from when I painted the cover. Think I need to paint the oil pan, the gold just doesn't fit in. Any thoughts?? Also I'm having trouble deciding on a wire loom set-up so any thoughts are welcome.P6300017.jpgP6300018.jpgP6300019.jpg

Nope, and they've never given me anything either. :tsk:
I've just always liked the anodized finish, but I'm more of a race car guy than show car. Function defines the form.
