Well, got the engine and trans installed, got a very tight oil pan to cross bar clearance issue on the drivers side but I think I have a solution. Now the real work begins...

Are you talking about the cross member behind the oil pan, below the bell housing?
I've seen some crazy chassis mods with folks fitting the big DOHC Cobra engines in the F5 Roadsters. Looking forward to seeing your fix.

Actually this car does not have a cross member under the bellhousing. The clearance issue is at the left front corner. Originally I thought I could shift the engine slightly right as I have some flexibility with the mounts but after looking at where they mount bolts ended up (perfect) I may be using a pipe and hammer. Right now there is only the width of a piece of paper clearance. I know the engine will torque and probably contact when it's running so I have to come up with some sort of plan.
That makes more sense. I was guessing off the pictures. Most interference issues I've seen have been on the front. Look up some of the Terminator installs on the roadsters. Some serious crossmember modification that might give you some ideas.
Excellent work, you've come far in the two months! I'd love to do one of these, if for nothing else, the fun of working on a clean car. All of the 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s cars I see have enough gunk on them to verify their age.
Love to see some pics. The Cobra and 33 sorta use the same basic chassis.
Thanks, yes I've appreciated every part being brand new, but you absolutely would not believe the metal shavings. I sweep two-three times a day.
