Super Walmart up here has a blueberry pie that will knock your socks off. It's not that blueberry gelatin crap that Kroger trying to Pawn off as a blueberry pie. This is real blueberries and blueberry syrup and heat it up a little bit oh man. But I'll have to say my favorite is pumpkin pie overall on Thanksgiving. But when there's a blueberry pie like that beside of it it's a difficult choice. Perhaps a slice of each or a couple slices of each.

Pecan pie was never on our list of Thanksgiving dessert offerings. My mother or myself made a sweet potato casserole that had a brown sugar and butter crusted topping with whole pecans on it. It was absolute heaven to dip a spoon out of that. The sweet potato mixture is sweet and the topping is also sweet. I used to make that on Thanksgiving mornings for my mom a lot. My sister still has the recipe and I can make it if I get to hankering for one. This is like a side dish and dessert all in one casserole dish. It's phenomenal!!!!

I had a piece last week that was made with granular sugar and not corn syrup. It tasted so much better - not just sweet/syrup. More of a praline experience
Oh yes any mother worth her salt that could bake a pie where I grew up used sugar. Real cane sugar. It does make for a much more rich experience. So I am with you on that note. 👍

I was just thinkin about a pie my step mom used to make. It was a graham cracker crust with either blueberry or strawberry with the coinciding pie filler. And cream cheese. Those were so good!! Been many years since I've had any
