Job Description
Assembles fabricated parts to relatively large or heavy sub assemblies or complete units. May set up jigs and fixtures. Lays out reference points, positions, aligns, and fits together fabricated parts of metal or fiberglass mold according to blueprint and layout specifications fabrication. May fabricate parts as required. Uses hand tools, portable tools, hoists and cranes to move materials, parts and assemblies. Fits, aligns, calibrates and adjusts parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements; repairing units or products that have failed to meet requirements. Follows all safety rules and practices. May be involved in safety committees or initiatives. Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities may include:
- Weld metal parts together to fabricate or repair products according to layout, blueprints or work orders.
- Comply with all safety rules and procedures.
- Perform grinding.
- Ability to efficiently make UT repairs.
- Maintain and complete all required records.
- Prepared and align metal products for welding.
- Operate tools (Pneumatic, rose bud, others).
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management
- Mechanical fastening (bolts, nuts, hucks)
- Applies appropriate torque sequence and values (certified)
- Reads blueprints
- Operates overhead cranes
- May use hand tools to bend or form parts
- Must tack weld (Vertical, Flat, Overhead)
- May require error testing
- Operates overhead cranes
- Ability to function as a team member.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, co-workers and customers.
- Regular and predictable attendance is required
- Construction, Farm, Mechanical, Rail, Metal Working background preferred
- Hard working attitude
- May require long periods of standing
- May require lifting up to 70 lbs
- Use of safety glasses and hard hats is required
- May be exposed to elevated noise levels (use of ear plugs is required)
- Must pass general physical fit test and pulmonary fit test
- Metatarsal guard boots required
- Hot in summer and cold in winter environment**
