Refering to ANY firearm as a gun. Rifle, pistol, revolver, shotgun. Call it by what it is, not GUN..... But I was also in the Marine Corps so that's been beat into me

deal of the day

"Hurry, Quick before she goes back in tha Safe."

What, Your **** Hibernates now or Something?

So what if I buy it and it "Hibernates" on me, say during a home invasion of, IDK my house?

FT,
I'll keep my non-Hibernating Less expensive Glock23/Remy870

Maybe this is a little picky... But It bothers me when the media reports a shooting, either civilian or police related, and says that someone was "shot to death". It sounds as if the police or civilian involved in the shooting kept shooting until the person died, or that they shot with the intention to kill. A more accurate description is " shot and later died" or "shot and killed".

Sniper Rifle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL, my LGS has a bolt action rifle with scope & bipod for sale, and they actually put a sign on it that reads "sniper rifle". Every time I'm in there, I'll ask "is that really a SNIPER rifle?". They'll look at me funny & reply "Yeah". Cracks me up.

Calling a revolver a pistol.

Why would calling a revolver a pistol bother you?

A revolver is simply a particular style of pistol.

pistol: A firearm designed to be held and fired with one hand.

revolver: A pistol having a revolving cylinder with several cartridge chambers that may be fired in succession.
