First ammo shortages - now THIS?!

Funny, I thought the recent mass advertising campaign was because they had over-expanded their facilities. Still, it is hard to adjust production to demand with a 6-year aging cycle. I noticed that Crown Royal Black is still 45%, and tastier to boot, so I'm not locking-down in the bunker yet.

Anyway, we discovered Platte Valley, 100% Corn Pone Whiskey in a festive ceramic jug. Its only 40% and 3 years old, but at $13.00 a jug we can stock up for the zombie apocalypse!

"Demand is high, everyone loves our Whiskey but cant make it fast enough.. hmm.. oh I know, lets water it down!!"

This is exactly what happens to the purchasing power of your hard earned (albeit fiat) dollars when the fed creates credit our of thin air and loans it to the gubmint...except we get to pay it back 2x

My home is NEVER without a few essential items... Liquid Smoke, chipotle chili powder, chipotle Tabasco sauce, Frank's Hot Sauce (yes, I put that sh*t on everything), a buffet of my favorite single malt Scotches, and Maker's Mark Bourbon.

This news nearly made me cry... and I may not be able to recover.

As a fellow sigle malt lover, try this for bourbon. Corsair Triple Smoke..it is absolutley stellar. Imagine a great bourbon with a hint of peat.

This is reminiscent of McDonald's changing the recipes for hamburgers, french fries, and milk shakes. No one under 40 or so believes me when I tell them how awesome McDonald's USED to be. They claim their shakes and fries are the best ever now. Really? Then why do I not eat there very often anymore when it was the ONLY place to stop when you were on the road?

My first job was at McDonald's during high school in the late 70's. Every day for lunch I had a chocolate shake, a couple hamburgers, and a glorious fried apple pie, remember those? I loved them and ate there for years after and when they went to a baked version I stopped eating there. Miss the good ole days of (original) Coke, McDonalds and just about everything else they decided to change.
