First pistol kill deer

Shot my first ever deer with a pistol tonight. 8 pt @ 15 yards. Pistol was a 4" Model 19 Smith & Wesson that I carry every day.

Nice take...Impressive from a 4" barrel. I took my last buck with my Taurus 608...but it has an 8-3/8" barrel!

The pistol kills I've had were with a 8"+ Dirty Harry special in 44mag, a few with the Savage bolt action pistol in 308, and this year will be with an AR pistol in 6.8 spc.

You've out done me already with that 4" and you carry it every day!?
Fear the man with only one gun, for he probably knows how to use it well. LOL!

Thanks guys! I was awful proud of him. The pistol though really made it. Of all the guns I have and have had that little 357 is a good shootin little gun. First time I have ever even thought about shooting a deer with it though.

When you make a shot like that and watch a deer crumple (didn't take another step!!!) you feel good about your carry ammo and gun...
