First time handgun owner

I've been wanting to get a handgun for some time and finally after some life changes bought my first one. I grew up around uncles that have had various handguns and riffles and always loved going hunting or shooting with them so I'm pretty excited about owning one for myself finally. My friends have warned me that it's like eating Doritos, you can't have just one.
