Fishing rod build question. Please help!

My son has a senior project for school this year. He wants to lean how and build his own fishing rod. But he would have to shadow a person to learn how to do it. Is there anyone in the Dallas area that would teach him how to do it?

He is a avid fisherman and leans toward ultralight rod and tackle. Kayaking and canoeing rivers with it. He wants to learn and build one. And use it from here on out. We both think it would be cool. Heck, I might join in and learn myself!

this is how I learned. I have some stuff he could borrow to build his first. It really isn't that hard. If he has any questions feel free to PM me. YouTube is a great help too.
