I used Maglites back in the day. They were about the best around. Last good one was a Streamlight. You could make out somethin under a bush at 100yds with it. I didn't like it was a rechargeable. Outstanding otherwise. I still have my backup light. Just a little AA cell and as good as the old good full size Maglite. I paid a little penny for that one. I think $30-35. Had that one @12yrs. Any ideas OP? I don't want to break the bank
Dude I’m not kidding that little Acebeam tac aa 2.0 is unbelievable for its size and is only about $25 on Amazon right now if you click the coupon.(for some reason on Amazon the black tac AA and also the red is the old version and all the other colors are the 2.0 which is much better). I don’t know if THREEJAYS THREEJAYS has used it yet but he has one too.

Yes I have played with it and it is pretty unbelievable to only use 1aa battery. Don’t know yet how long before recharge but at 900 lumens ( I think that’s right) it bright

Yea it’s 900 lumens but it’s seems brighter than that. When I compare it side by side with some of my 2000 lumen lights, it holds its own.

Small medium. Something I can stick in my back pocket. I’m sure the ace beam Tac AA is fine but it looks small.
It is smaller than my others but it’s perfectly back pocketable. It’s not too small that is uncomfortable. It comes with the bonus that it can run off an AA battery but comes with a rechargeable one. It has 6 different modes for it to operate however you could imagine. If you want something bigger, any of those Wurkkos models I listed are all fantastic and well rounded(except the ts11 is more for throw) with the TS28 being the brightest($33 with Amazon coupon). Olight, nitecore and surefire have great stuff too but are considerably more expensive.

An interesting note about the TS28, I ordered 2 Tuesday and they arrived yesterday. I gave one to my buddy(yesterday) that I know uses flashlights every day at his job. He talked to me today and said that he absolutely loved it and it has replaced his nitecore square light he loved and so he tried to sell his nitecore to some coworkers but they all wanted the TS28 lol. He said 4 of his coworkers ordered one today with the link he gave them. Makes me want to put it to use as I’ve only been able to shine it outside for just a few seconds so far.
This is a pretty good video on it. He cycles through the beam levels at 5:38
