The "if it is expanding now.." was my text. I did not mean to imply that we're not sure it's expanding because we are. Hubble proved the universe is expanding through observation of the doppler shift of stars - they are all moving away from us. That was back when astronomers did astronomy through observation and not just theoretical mathematics.

It’s a theory. Like the theory of gravity or the theory of evolution. So it has not been proven. Red shift is a theory that they used to interpret data from humble to come to that conclusion. But I don’t believe any of their theories, the wisdom of man is foolishness to god

In order to be infinite in size, the universe would have to be infinitely old.

If infinitely old, it could not be expanding, it would be "steady state" - but we know through observation the stars are moving away from us.

They just don't like us. Can you blame them?

Nothing in (physical) science is a fact. Everything is an approximation, valid until a better approximation comes along.

I agree with you for the most part. That’s part of the reason I don’t believe them. Because they lack facts

Well, the next time you get a speeding ticket please tell the judge that the doppler effect is just a theory. We've been using that "theory" for search radars since the 1940s.

There is nothing in the Bible that disputes the easily observable fact that the stars are expanding away from us.
