Fluke 107 digital meter on a Amazon PRIME deal

Hmmm... should I upgrade from
my $5 Harbor Freight multimeter
to this $85 Fluke meter?
It would come in handy for diagnosing electrical issues on my vehicles, testing the resistance of coils and stator windings on my bike. I don't think I could really trust the numbers coming from my El Cheapo meter.

That depends, do you want to know if it's 12 ish volts or do you want to know that it's 12.242 volts? I have a few cheapo meters, and a few not so cheap meters. Depends on what you're doing.

Man am I crazy? I’m pretty sure the Fluke I use occasionally was over 10 grand. It’s for LV. Is their electric gear that much cheaper or did my boss lie to me?

I've used a few 10K+ Flukes and $100 Flukes, they make all kinds.

Yea, those can be anywhere from $100 to $1000 for a cable tester to upwards of 25k for a full-blown Lan Analyzer that will spit out cable certifications.

It's a good meter for sure. I ran one for years, I carry a few different meters now for different applications - Fluke 325, Fluke 772, Fluke 789, and a Fluke 87V - the 87V is my go to for 70% of what I do, the others just get used when the project requires it.

You can never go wrong buying good quality tools....I live by that!

I love an 87V! But I hate to spend that much for one just for my DIY stuff around the house.
